Diamond Sports Clinics

Grades 6, 7, 8

Due to budget cuts there will be no clinics during the 05-06 school year.

In addition to the intramurals program, two separate one week clinics will be offered during the period between the first and second six week session, between the second and third six week session, and following the third six week session. The focus of the clinics will be instructional by design and recreational when possible, and will include activities not offered in the intramurals program. A $25 user fee will be charged for each clinin attended.

If your child wishes to participate in the clinics, it is paramount that he/she attend to morning and afternoon announcements, lunch room announcements, announcements during PE classes, and notices in the gym and locker rooms, for that is how he/she will know how to get more detailed information about specific programs.

Clinics planned for this year consist of:

• November - Boys Lacrosse, Girls' Lacrosse, Cheerleading, Wrestling

• March - Hockey [ floor hockey format ] and V olleyball

• June- Football and Tennis

Clinic offerings will take place at Diamond from 3-4:30pm, with the exception of the June clinics which will be held at the high school. The clinics are generally conducted by a member of the high school coaching staff with the assistance of high school student-athletes. If you have already paid a $400 family plan fee, no further payment is necessary for clinics, but your child still needs to register so the clinic directors will know the numbers for which they must plan.
